Weekly Flow — Music, Momentum, and Managed Chaos

    Good evening everyone!

It’s been a very busy week here at Standard Damage Industries, and I’ve got a whole lot of chaos to share—so let’s dive right in.

Off Camera: The Music Department Has Been Busy

This week, the vast majority of our off-camera work focused on music. And before anything else, I want to say this:

Your response to the lofi albums has been nothing short of incredible. The downloads, the messages, the feedback—it all landed exactly where it needed to. Thank you so much for the support and the kind words. 💚

Because of that response, we’re making a few important (and exciting) changes to how music works going forward.

🎟 Music Pass Members — A New Feature: Evolving Albums

If you’re a Music Pass member (Middle Management tier and up), you now have access to something new:

    Evolving Albums.

These are albums that already have mastered tracks ready for release, but are still actively being written and refined. When you download an evolving album, you’ll automatically receive email notifications whenever tracks are added or updated—letting you know there’s new music waiting for you.

The first example of this is Night Drive, which is now available for download as an evolving album. Early access, living project, late-night synthwave energy—yours to enjoy as it grows.

    In addition to that…

🎶 Ride the Wave has officially launched today as a full album and is now available here:

🧑‍💼 Intern Initiative Members — A Better Plan (Free Music Included)

I’ve also got something new for our Intern Initiative members, and honestly? It’s a much better plan.

    The original plan:
    Provide B-sides from each album.

    The new plan:
When a full album releases, I personally select three favorite tracks and make them available to Intern members for free as an Intern Sampler.

After that, the community will vote—and the winning track will be released as a free public single for everyone.

Your first sampler is live right now, pulled from today’s Ride the Wave launch. It includes:

    • For Everything

    • Tears in Rain (Synthwave Version)

    • Emory’s Theme (Synthwave Version)

Because nobody says no to free samples. That’s just science.

🎧 One More Music Thing (Because Apparently We Don’t Sleep)

As if all of that wasn’t enough—we also finished mastering Squirrel’s ReTreet.

It’s currently waiting on album art and should release within the next week or so. This one is a Peripheral Trance collection that scratches the same itch as the lofi albums, and I cannot wait to get it into your hands.

On Camera: Art, Animation, and a Tree With an Identity Crisis

On the art side, this week was all about learning Clip Studio EX, which resulted in a chalk-style version of the Chill Little Tree (pictured above).

    Is this the final version?

    Nope.

As it turns out, what we’ve created so far is less Chill Little Tree and more Chill Little Acorn. Which is adorable—but not the final form.

We’ll be designing a more mature (and on-point) version and drawing and animating it live on stream.

Beyond that, I’ll also be diving into 3D environments this week, with the goal of beginning full character development within the next couple of weeks.

Schedule This Week + A Personal Note

Alright maniacs—this is where we dim the lights, light an official Damage Industries Official Unicorn Fart™ scented candle, and get a little more real.

I am incredibly grateful for how everything is going. The progress on the game, music, and art has accelerated far beyond what I expected at this stage.

That said… today I finally slowed down and—

    …took a big breath.

Even with most meetings cancelled last week, I was running on fumes trying to keep everything moving. I love creative chaos—but it has to be controlled chaos, and recently, it wasn’t.

The good news? This is fixable. And we’re fixing it now.

    💚 Here’s the Plan

I’ll be taking today, Tuesday, and Wednesday off to fully catch up, organize, and—most importantly—prepare to put out calls to the community for help.

    We’ll be looking for:

    • Artists

    • Video editors

    • Animators

    • Voice actors

    • Social media support

For now, I’ll keep the details light—but keep an eye on the website and Discord this week. Announcements are coming.

Our hope has always been to make this a true community project—giving you more involvement and more ownership in what you support.

    Good news:
    We’re there now.

    🎮 One Extra Goodie

We’ve been talking for a long time about bringing back community play sessions, and a few games have really risen to the top lately—especially OUTBRK and Hytale.

You can expect community gaming days and nights to return, with the possibility of some of our characters taking up permanent residence in these games alongside Fallout 76.

📅 Our first session is tonight at 7:00 PM ET with OUTBRK.
I was hoping to do today earlier, but the weather had other plans.

We’ll also be rolling out a new “Let’s Play” Discord role soon, which will automatically notify you when these events go live.

With immense love to every single one of you—thank you for being here, for supporting the chaos, and for building this with us.

More announcements (and more fun) coming very soon.
Please enjoy all the goodies. 💚
