Cast Participation Rules

Welcome!

If you found yourself here, it's because you have an interest in joining us live on stream and for our YouTube recording sessions. Awesome! There are just few things we need to cover first.

We're a very warm, loving and inclusive community.  As such, we have a few rules you need to follow at all times. While there is nothing complicated about these, it's important you know who we are and what to expect.

So here's what you need to know...

1. Be kind to everyone.

  • No homophobic, heterophobic, racist, sexist, bigoted or discriminatory remarks will be tolerated against anyone ever.
  • Workarounds will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to any comments, usernames or characters that reference the above in any way. Specific examples include:
  • References to slavery and "hate" groups.
  • Any racist terms.
  • Using terms that are derogatory towards women. This includes words such as "b**ch" and "sl*t."
  • Using terms that are derogatory towards the LGBTQ community in any way.

2. Do not use our streams and content to self-promote.

  • The only place to promote your streams and vidoes is the #self-promotion channel of our Discord.
  • If there is something you wish to promote that you feel would be on topic, please get prior permission from StandardDamage before discussing it live. Please do not ask during the stream.

3. English is our Native Language.

  • Please make sure all on-stream and recording discussions are in English.
  • Exceptions can be made for characters that, in canon, would use expressions and "mix in" language from their native countries. Please clear this with StandardDamage ahead of time before bringing these characters in.

4. We fully comply with the T.O.S. of all services we use, and you should too.

  • Please make sure you are familiar with the TOS of Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Discord, Fourthwall and any other service we may choose to broadcast to. If you break their rules, you've also broken ours.

5. Respect that we are streaming and recording.

  • Use headphones on your computer to prevent any game sounds or Discord chatter from coming through your mic.

  • Make sure all mobile devices (phones and tablets) are on vibrate or muted.

  • In the event you need to talk with someone on the phone or in person, mute yourself before carrying on the conversation.

  •  Please make sure you are in a quiet space to prevent any outside sounds (i.e. other people in your household, TVs, etc) from coming across Discord.

  • Times and participants for streams and recording sessions will be determined ahead of time in our Discord. Please don't try to jump in during the stream, and please make sure you're there if you signed up for a session.

  • We understand life happens! In the event you're unable to make your scheduled time, please let us know ASAP so we can make arrangements.

  • Understand that chat interactions are a big a part of the stream! I will be talking with chat, responding to alerts, and maybe even have his screen blocked by the DICC around system. Please refrain from complaining about the results of those. After all, it's all in good fun!

  • We are streaming and talking with the community, so please don't talk over top of StandardDamage. Take a breath and wait until he's finished.

  • I need to be able to communicate with you. If you're in the game we're streaming, you must also be present in game voice chat.

  • Sometimes issues will arise due to conflicting play styles. When they do, do not attack each other in Discord or the game. Do not call for other members to be kicked. These issues will be addressed off stream.

  • Do not co-stream or stream a recording session without express permission from StandardDamage and the other participants you will be recording. Never assume it's okay to broadcast or record anything.

  • By Participating in our Discord, Live Streams and Recording Sessions, you understand and agree that you will be a part of StandardDamage's live stream broadcasts and recordings that will be posted on Twitch, Youtube, TikTok, Vimeo, Patreon and other forms of social media, and give us permission to use that content as we see fit.

Failure to abide by these rules and agreements will result in your removal from the community. Please don't ever make us do that!
